There doesn't seem to be a feature request on the buglist for this, and it is a
very small issue. Am soliciting feedback whether this issue is worthy of a
feature request.
The Win32 IDE is working great, but maybe I'm not accurate enough with the mouse
in the Lazarus Source Editor window.
In the Lazarus Source Editor window, with Visible Gutter and Show Line Numbers--
The left side of the code lines are very close to the gutter. I often click to
put the insertion point at the beginning of a line, but overshoot too far left,
and accidentally set a Breakpoint bullet instead.
Several times in a day, rather than a simple one-click to set the insertion
point at the beginning of a line, it becomes a three click-
1. Click and accidentally set breakpoint
2. Click to remove the accidental breakpoint
3. Click again to select the beginning of the line
Perhaps this would be difficult to correct. Or not. One solution might be to add
just a few more pixels of white space to the left of lines in the source code
panel. That would provide a bigger target to 'hit' the whitespace before the
line, rather than accidentally clicking the gutter instead.
If I'm the only person who sees this as a problem, then obviously it isn't worth
a fix.
Thanks
jcjr
