Rebuilding startlazarus fixed the issue. As a side note: I never build startlazarus, I don't actually know what that application is supposed to do. Maybe fixed the linking under Windows where windows has the lazarus.exe locked? Either way, that still doesn't work for me under Windows. I always have to rename the current lazaurus.exe before I rebuild Lazarus under Windows.
