The news is good and Michael is right ... (It is my opinion)
In some parts, I also agree with Michael... splash image doesn't need to have mottoes/slogans. But "write once compile everywhere" is a very strong point of FPC/Lazarus, especially against "write once run everywhere" that is being a very buzzword lately. IMHO, this slogan need to be shown in the splash but it isn't allowed to make the whole design become bad in any ways. A short single line text won't harm if it's designed well. ;)
