What I do: Output all reports to RTF and view with external viewer (any word processor on computer). See this tool for more information:
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/XDev_Toolkit With RTF you can have almost unlimited control over the formatting. Note that on OS X with the latest Carbon widgetset, anything output via the Printer object can be printed, previewed or saved to PDF via the OS X Printer dialog. Too bad this isn't available on other systems. LazReport looks to have been a fairly recent addition. I was wondering what most people did for reporting from Lazarus. I was thinking of: 1. Stick to text based reports - write a decent abstraction layer for formatting, etc. 2. Use PowerPDF to write all reports to standard pdf format. A lot of hand coding both ways, but seems flexible enough. Any input or suggestions? -- Warm Regards, Lee "If I don't see you around here, I'll see you around, hear?" _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject archives at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailarchives _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject archives at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailarchives
