Title:

Hi Marti and others,

I have been using lcms in my programs for some time now. I must say I’m very happy with the speed and quality of this colour management software!

Recently I felt the need to be able to process .tiff files using my software.

As I’m using Borland BCB6 (I really like it!), I can only use .bmp and .jpeg files natively.

I’ve written my own utilities to cope with embedded profiles (and save them) using the .jpeg files.

However, I can’t use .tiff files L

As it is a huge task to write .tiff reading and writing routines (I’ve only build very simple ones) I was planning on using the libtiff library (I believe by Sam Leffler?). This library appears very solid and versatile. Furthermore, in the lcms software there is some sample code provided which utilizes this library.

However I don’t know how to create the .dll from the libtiff source using BCB!

I’ve searched the internet yet couldn’t find an answer. Also I’m not very experienced in these .dll and .lib matters so I could not find out myself…

Does anyone know how to do this? That is, how to use libtiff from Borland BCB?

I’d be very grateful for any help you may be able to provide…

Thanks for your time and greetings,

Auke Nauta
