I have scanned Wolf's targets both at gamma 1 and at gamma 2.2. For both, I created a set of profiles (accurate perceptual, accurate rel. colorimetric and matrix-shaper).

I noticed that, after application of the scanner profile, particularly the darker patches (eg K2,J3, B2, GS17, GS18) look very coarse on the gamma 1 scans. This seems to be particularly the case for the CLUT profiles.
Gamma 2.2 scans in comparison look very smooth with either profile.

Do you have any explanation for this?
