Maybe my question is slightly off topic.
I'm trying to profile Encad NovaJet driven by Wasatch SoftRIP ver. 5.
Since this printer is using non-transparent black (or so ti seems) I can not print one of the standard test chart i.e.. it8.7.3 CMYK, TC3.5 CMYK, because all fields that are covered with all 4 inks and contains aprox. 40% or more black are very dark (almost black).
Profiles that comes with software heavily reduce black ink on all fields.
Please advice what test chart, procedure... to use!
