Hi Gerhard,
Apologizes for the delay, I was on trip for whole week. Color stuff, of course :-)
Regarding icclink, there is a new toggle '-x - Creatively, guess deviceclass of
resulting profile.'
That means, icclink would create devicelinks by default unless you explicitly ask for
the contrary. In such case, it tags the
profile as input, output, abstract or devicelink on depending on the colorspaces in
both sides. I will add devicelink support to
icc2ps in next revision as well.
Regards,
Marti.

Subject: [Lcms-user] problem with icclink / icc2ps
Hi Marti,
the following did work with an earlier version of LCMS, but fails with 1.13:
"link1.icm" is an existing RGB->CMYK device link
$ icclink -o link2.icm -t0 -c2 "*Lab" sRGB.icm link1.icm
$ icc2ps -t0 -u -o link2.icm > cmyk.crd
little cms PostScript converter - v1.4
icc2ps: Device link is operating on wrong colorspace on output
Basically I'd expected, that "icc2ps -o ..." would also accept a
Lab->CMYK device link profile, but appearently, it does not. I think it
did work previosly, because the old icclink did create an output profile
(with BToA table), when it was called with the parameters above, while
the new one actually creates a device link.
Thanks,
Gerhard
