Hello,

I have a problem profiling my new Nikon CoolScan V scanner with the beta3
profiler or the old qtscannerprofiller1.exe. The profiling works fine with
my old Minolta Scan Dual III.

I'm not sure whether this is a Vuescan problem or my scanner profiling
process.

I'm using a brand IT8 target from Wolf Faust (F040425).

When I scan the target with the software from Nikon, the profiling works
just fine.
When I use vuescan instead, I get pink instead of bright white in some
scans.
In both cases I profile the scanner using the beta3 profiler.

I've uploaded some samples to my website at
http://www.brigham.be/marco/vuescan/

# # Folders and files:
- F040425/
  the IT8 slide profile

- profiles/
the profiles generated from vuescan and Nikon scans.

- target/
the target scan from vuescan and Nikon software.

The images/profiles with _neutral_ and _none_ are correspond to saving the
image with the
"neutral" and "none" color setting in vuescan.

As you can see, when applying the profiles to the picture copains_etc, the
profile
generated through Nikon scans seems pretty ok, whereas the ones generated
through vuescan have pink tones on the very white areas.

Any ideas, comments?

Thanks a lot,

Marco Brigham
