For those of you who are running Gentoo Linux I discovered yesterday that
LPROF is included in the Gentoo portage tree and has been available since
January 2004. I installed it on my amd64 system and generated a scanner
profile with it yesterday. I opened a bug report with gentoo to mark it as
~amd64 (testing amd64) and since that time one other user has reported that
it is working on amd64. It was marked x86 and now is also marked ~amd64.

Since LPROF is so obscure I was surprised to find it in the Gentoo portage
tree.
