May I ask how should I test out the effect of these 2 different CMM?
I've done a similar study. My procedure was to use
synthetic bitmaps covering whole RGB and CMYK gamut
in 9 steps per component. Then converting those bitmaps
by using Photoshop and lcms and comparing results in
contone and dE. On more profiles you check, more
confidence you will get in the results. But then you have to
make sure to check all different kind of profiles, including
8 bits, 16 bits, matrix-shaper, CLUT, v2, v4...
Be warned doing this "well" may represent a lot of work.
Results may be surprising... hint, ACE and ColorSync may
reach 14 dE in some situations .
