Marti, they seem to be API, but unfortunately not fully ABI compatible. For instance, it looks like the GAMMATABLE structure (-> documented as official interface in LCMSAPI.TXT) has changed in at least one of the released LCMS versions, such that a) the size of the structure and b) the offsets of the stucture members nEntries and GammaTable[] from the begin of the structure are no longer the same as in the previous version.
