Beside the different licensing, CLT has its focus more on film colour 
correction and manipulation.
Colour corrections in CLT are based on free formulas, with less limits 
besides the used data types (floats). This can help preserving 
intensities, which are not printable, but influencing later processing 
states. The same is needed for HDR image processing.

The ICC style colour management, as provided by lcms, is more oriented 
towards reflection media. The ICC transformation descriptions are based on 
fixed formulas, curves and LUT's.

Provided that many applications are based on ICC style colour management,
CLT will not easily exchange the ICC spec. A good im-/export to 
the established ICC spec would help to consider the new system.
At least CLT will not have the same support like WCS.
