Thank you all, So, if the charTargetTag can't be relied upon to exist, let alone in a consistent format and scale, how might I get the absolute luminance XYZ value using the LittleCMS library? The function cmsIsTag returns true for icSigLuminanceTag, but none of the exported cmsTake functions seem capable of returning an XYZ structure or just Y for icSigLuminanceTag. The ReadICCXYZ function looks capable, but it isn't exported.
Also, will whatever function which returns icSigLuminanceTag return only a valid Y value, or valid X, Y, and Z values? Thank you all again for your time, Michael A.
