I haven't given any bindings to Java any shot, yet, with respect to Lcms. But I'd suggest to also take a look at JNA [1], which should give you by far an easier access and bindings to native libraries. In the background it makes use of JNI, but it hides this "dirty job" well for you for ease of access. I'd surely be interested in seeing an access layer to Lcms from Java, too.
