Not really. The wrapping is done dynamically by ctypes, so no native code and 
compile step as with SWIG/boost necessary.

But there's a code generator available for ctypes, although it's not 
officially released, and it's got some probs. But I assume it could be used 
as a base with tweaks or scripts to create the _lcms.py as a base. I just 
don't believe in having to do everything by foot, as would be just too 
brittle with changing versions (of liblcms) and would tend to be more 
incomplete again. Better invest some time into an automation and then for the 
future ease the pain of maintaining it.
