Hi, I have a generic question regarding color profiles and icc:
I made a display profile using Argyll which (with iccdump) gives me this (this is true for sRGB as well): Display profile Color Space = RGB Conn. Space = XYZ However, I have other profiles (Canon EOS 400D) which report the following with iccdump: Camera profile Color Space = RGB Conn. Space = Lab I'm curious as how does LCMS respond to such a mismatch? Is an automatic XYZ-Lab conversion done? Or will it render invalid/incorrect/deviant results? Is it possible to convert the RGB-Lab profile to a RGB-XYZ profile? The reason why I'm asking this, is that I've been having trouble reproducing the same colors in comparison to the original Canon software. Even though I'm using the same source file, and the same color profile.
