I have just finished implementing direct bindings to PIL image buffers that can be transformed directly through PyLittleCMS.
This release has also been tested against the current LCMS 1.18, and it runs well using Python 2.6 (test system used: 32 bit Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04). https://launchpad.net/pylittlecms/trunk/pylittlecms-0.6 The release on the LaunchPad project page now also contains a downloadable tar ball.
