Is that for a given profile? If so, do a transform: Lab -> Profile -> Profile -> Lab. And then feed the transform with a sampling on Lab space, where L*=your fixed value and varying a*/b* from -128 to +128. The profile will clip out of gamut colors and you will get a estimation of the maximum.
