I have been trying to match the color conversions of Adobe Illustrator's
color picker using the transicc tool, but I just can't seem to get them
perfect. I found the .icc profiles that Adobe is using, and matched the
settings under Illustrator's Color Settings. I have been using the
following command:
echo 224 62 0 | transicc -i RGB\ Profiles/sRGB\ Color\ Space\ Profile.icm
-o CMYK\ Profiles/USWebCoatedSWOP.icc -t 1 -b -n
My output is:
LittleCMS ColorSpace conversion calculator - 4.2 [LittleCMS 2.05]
5.9434 90.2419 100.0000 0.8774
Adobe Illustrator displays the CMYK as: 7% 90% 100% 1%
It's very close, with Cyan being the farthest off. What setting am I
missing in order to achieve perfection?
