Hi Alex,

This is a nice idea, but not for lcms but for ICC. There is no  
reliable way for a CMM to guess the real range on profiles using  
floating point extensions. But ICC spec may add a new tag, and maybe  
this would makes sense. Next ICC meeting in on March 2, and I will  
bring there your idea.
