Hi Christian, Why don't you use a "standard" CMYK profile as default, that is likely to be correct or "close"?
Depending on where you are (I assume Germany based on name and email) and what your purpose is, for example FOGRA27 or FOGRA39 might be good defaults. Or SWOPV2 (typically for US). If this is an end-user App, be phony to the user about that usage of a default profile or make it configurable...
