I understand that server can impose a limit on the maximum number of result entries that it can return in case of 'ldap search' to the LDAP client. 'sizelimit' is the configuration parameter used for this. (sizelimit from the client side is out of scope of this thread)
Assume, LDAP client does a 'ldap search' on the LDAP server and the search condition matches with 1 million records. But, the sizelimit at the server is set to '1000'. In that case, LDAP client can get only '1000' entries in the result.
