I currently have 1 master and 8 replica servers running RedHat Linux using openldap 2.0. slapdconf is configured to use the ldbm database. The replica servers have database files stored in a single directory where the master server stores its database files in multiple directories. I am looking to create a backup master server to limit down time if the production master should crash and have its database as current as possible to the current master. Can this be done ? What are my options ?
