Dear, list,
I am using openldap to store all the accounts information of a groupware system. i found that if a password more than 8 letters, the rest will be cut off and throw away. And i found that all the password will be in the follow format {CRYPT}xxxxxxx. If i manually change to other such as {SSHA}xxxxxx. Then the password could be more than 8 letters. But i don't know how to change the default to other crypt method.
I have tried add "password-hash" parameter to the slapd, conf file. And it 's no use. Could someone pick me up how to change this?
I am using OpenLDAP 2.2 on a gentoo box.
Best regards
