Hi;
I'm reading along in the docs from OpenLDAP and it
gives me the
following definitions:

The attributetype directive is used to define a new
attribute type.
--and--
The objectclasses directive is used to define a new
object class.

That's all pretty obvious, isn't it? But what I'd like
to know, is
what's the *difference* between these two? Looking at
core.schema, they
seem about the same to the uninitiated.

Also, why are attributeType "name", "objectClass",
"commonName" and
"userPassword" commented out of core.schema? Easy
enough to uncomment
them, but there must have been a good reason for
commenting such common
items out.

TIA,
Ted
