Hi;
A list member was kind enough to supply me with a URL of an online IBM book on LDAP. It was very useful, but had some definite limitations:
* Many chapters had nothing in them (obviously a work-in-progress)
* Many of those were to have examples (which I really need)
* Much of the material was specific to IBM's proprietary s/w
So, my first question: Does anyone else have a URL of another online book on LDAP?
Other questions:
* Is pwdFailureCountInterval used with pdwMaxFailure instead of using pwdLockoutDuration?
* SSL/TLS or Kerberos? I do not have Kerberos installed currently. I am concerned about security.
* All entries in the directory may or may not have aclEntry or entryOwner explicitly defined on them. If either of these values is not explicitly defined, it is inherited from an ancestor entry in the DIT. (Automatic, or through aclPropagate=TRUE / ownerPropagate=TRUE ?)
* Can someone give me an example or two of "access control attribute syntax? I have the Backus Naur Form of it (14.3), but no examples to clarify.
TIA,
Ted
