Even I have the same opinion about it. But, there are commerically
available load balancers which seem to claim that they support the
Transparent Failover.
For example, the Nortel Alteon Load balancers seem to support it using the
'VRRP Virtual Server Router (VSR)' feature. But, I'm not sure about how it
works even without the need for the clients to reconnect towards the
'standby' load balancer, which has become 'active' now.

Does anybody have an idea?
