Nope. Doesnt seem to work. If I could just upgrade I would. I have
about 750 user accounts on server. LDAP authenticates them to mail.
When I install new mail server, I have to migrate the accounts
(intact) to a new server. Hopefully without any downtime. My problem
is the version is so old slapadd with an .ldif file from the old mail
server will not import to a new server. Which is why I was wondering
if there was an upgrade faq or something.

How do I find what version of openldap I am currently running? Its on a

If you are running redhat 7.1, you probably want to upgrade whatever
version of OpenLDAP you are running as part of the migration.
For me, this easily gets the version:
strings slapd | grep -w "OpenLDAP: slapd"
@(#) $OpenLDAP: slapd 2.3.28 (Nov 9 2006 23:38:25) $
Also, if you have loglevel 256 in slapd.conf, the version number should
be logged when you start slapd.
