Thank you both for your replies Michael, Adam,
I installed phpLDAPAdmin to give me a bit of help in settling in with
this new system, and have found it to be a good help. In setting it up I
started understanding more about the LDAP server, and creating entries
is easier, after which I can just export to LDIF to see what I need to
be doing!

You need a STRUCTURAL object class. I'd really recommend inetOrgPerson.
Only attributes 'cn' and 'sn' are required.
As it turns out I did go with inetOrgPerson :] At least I seem to be on
the right track!
This is what my current entries look like :
dn: [EMAIL PROTECTED],ou=EmailAddresses,dc=example,dc=com
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: top
cn: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
sn: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Is the e-mail address related to any other information? Kind of user
information requiring e.g. 'uid'?
This project of mine is in its infancy, and I'm really just testing the
waters, but more than likely my requirements WILL grow, and then I can
begin to use other defined schema's, and possibly even create my own!
Many thanks
Patric
