I'm still slightly at a loss. I've managed to get openLDAP installed and backed up by MySQL.
However I need to figure out a way of getting the relevant pieces of data into a form LDAP is happy with. All I really need is the users email address and the group to which they belong. However the emails can come from any place/domain and I have to deal with it which is where I'm coming unstuck. As I understand it, my DN would need to something akin to dn=user, dc=foo, dc=com whereas our server needs to read [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the fact they are attached to group x, y or z . I'm wondering if I might need a different solution.
