Thanks.

The goal is to test the response time for the load we expect (between one and two thousands entries) and also _learn_ manipulating openLDAP entries.
Injecting 2 thousands entries into OpenLDAP is a matter of seconds. Is that something you want to test?

It's just a part of my learning: building fake data for testing purpose.
Of course, once I saw it, I will just carry other things.

To learn how to manipulate Ldap entries, I would suggest you use a Ldap Browser. you have many out there (LdapBrower, JExplorer, Apache Directory Studio, all are free).

I do want to learn the low level tools first.

Adding one entry or a thousand of entry is the same thing, except that you do it one thousand time. What kind of other "massage" would you like to do on Ldap entries ?

Just getting used with it and see it's power.
I wondered about the "forme" not the "fond" of adding entries.

Anyway, thank you for pointing me out MakeLdif.
