Sounds like a plan.  The RFC needs some other fixes too.
Of course, that needs Someone(TM) to do the work of updating it and
pushing it through the IETF process.  (Discussion would occur on the
[email protected] list.)

Ok. So assuming dsml is not going to take over ldif any time soon, I do think we should go ahead with this. What is the procedure ? Should we finalise everything here, and then move on to the ietf list, or start the discussion there right away ?
