Yes vntsd had been started and they had been able to connect and
disconnect via telnet from the primary domain, They had also enabled sshd
and were accessing the LDdom via SSH.
It appears that the LDom shutdown for no reason. At this customer, they
use an IP to serial system to connect to the serial ports of their "real"
Sun servers. That system also buffers the console output. When a server
stops, they first look to that buffered console output for clues as to
what went wrong.
Now that they have experienced a frozen LDom, they'd like to see the last
message that went to the console.

John,
Did they start the vntsd process? It has to be online before you can
telnet to the console ports from the primary domain.
Are they trying to ssh into the console ports on the LDOMS from the
primary domain or from an external host? The basic steps for setting up
console is in the docs.
Did they harden the primary domain?
Please provide a more specific description of what the customer has and
what they are trying to do. The answer to "How to configure console
logging in" is very broad if you want a detailed answer.

Here a scenario from a customer when using LDOMs:
SSH does not work "connection refused"
telnet localhost 5000 -> just sit's there... forever
So the question is... How do you configure console logging when using
LDOMs? If there is more than one option, please provide all options.
Thanks!
