Hi,

Has anyone got some suggestions/best practices for savecore space (i.e.
/var/crash)
for guest domains ?

We were thinking of doing savecore to NFS for guest domains, but I'm not
keen on
setting up permanent NFS mounts. Even if you use an automounter, dumpadm
won't
release the mount. We've tested savecore to NFS and it works, but now
I'm thinking
that I'd prefer just exporting some more disk from control domain to the
guests for
savecore space.

What would be really impressive to me is if multiple guest domains could
share the same
savecore disk device somehow. I don't know if that's even possible.

We're planning on hosting the guest LDOM "hard-disks" on a zpool on the
control domain, and
I was just hoping to find some solution that doesn't require a dedicated
savecore space for each guest, when
the savecore space is hardly ever used.

It won't be a big deal either way, but thought I'd ask the question.

Thanks in advance.
