No way to turn off Hypervisor. It is an essential FW for all sun4v systems. I think HV used to consume/use 64MB in past but that has increased to 128MB. See side note on pg 48 of the beginner's guide for reference to 64MB of memory usage, http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0207/820-0832.pdf > > >> Peter >> >> John-Paul Drawneek wrote: >> >>> Got a t1000 which was used for ldom dev. >>> >>> It should be running back at factory-default, but there is difference >>> in the amount of memory in the system and seen by the system. >>> >>> Ok I know that memory is used by the hypervisor, but: >>> physical memory 4x 512mb - 2G >>> shown memory - 1920MB >>> >>> thats about 128MB awol. >>> >>> Ideas? >>> > > _______________________________________________ > ldoms-discuss mailing list > ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss > -- Hitendra Zhangada ============================================= SPS Common SW Features Engineering Software Group, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
