Hi,

I have a problem with the network configuration for Guest LDoms. The
configuration is

A primary LDom with 4 network interfaces in the same network (nxge1, nxge5,
nxge2, and nxge6). This network is the service network of the Guest LDoms.

Two of these interfaces (nxge1 and nxge5) are used for the Guest LDom 1 and the
other two interfaces (nxge2 and nxge6) are used for the Guest LDom 2.
The interfaces are plumbed and up in the primary LDom (but without an IP
address)

There's also an installation network for the Guest LDoms: The adapter vnet0 of
the Guest LDoms is used for this network (it maps to e1000g0 in the primary
LDom for both Guest LDoms). This adapter works in both Guest LDoms (it was
also used to install the Guest LDoms).

The problem is that I do not have network access via the network adapter in the
service network in the Guest LDoms. Calling snoop for the adapters in the Guest
LDoms I see the network traffic from other machines in the network. But I can
not access other machines in the same network or in other networks using these
adapter. IPMP sets both adapters in the Guest LDom to "failed" but it also
doesn't work if I remove one interface in each Guest LDom and disable IPMP in
the LDoms.

Should this configuration work? If yes, how to configure it?

I'm using Solaris 10 Update 5, ldm 1.0.3 on a T5220

regards

Bernd
