An important point to keep in mind is that by default, the multicast
collision detection packets have a TTL of 1; i.e. they won't span
subnets.

For LDoms automated MAC address collision to work across subnets, your
network switches & routers need to be configured to forward multicast,
and the TTL needs to be adjusted as mentioned in the Admin Guide, to
wit:

By default, these multicast messages are sent only to other managers
on the same subnet; the default time-to-live (TTL) is 1. The TTL can
be configured using the Service Management Facilities (SMF)
propertyldmd/hops.
