Sorry to jump on this thread, but I'm looking at a similiar setup and wondering if I can have 2 I/O domains without SAN booting one by attaching a simple JBOD device to the server using a SAS card in one of the PCI slots on the T5240? Will be using the other PCI slot for network and SAN connectivity, but don't want to SAN boot (not for any tech reasons).
So that one IO domain would boot off the internal disks and the second off the external array. Guests could then boot off a mirror consisting of disks from each of the I/O domains. Anyone know if this Is this a supported config? Thanks, Scully. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
