Using internal SAS drives for LDOM boot means you need AVS to replicate the
volume to another host. If you SAN boot from a LUN mapped/zoned to all nodes of
cluster you can warm migrate LDOM. Otherwise you have to replicate the bits at
migration time....

On a T5240, slots 1,2,3 are on pci@400. Slots 0,4,5 are on pci@500.
pci@400 also controls the internal drives and DVD. The onboard NIC
ports are on pci@500.

We have a set-up similar to what you are after. We have an extra 4
port NIC in slot 2 and HBA cards in slots 3 & 4. The control domain
(also an I/O dom) boots off the internal drives. The second I/O domain
and guests boot from SAN LUN's.

Had we planned it a little better up-front we would have added a SAS
card to pci@500 so we could connect an extra pair or internal drives
to boot the second I/O domain.
