Thanks - but I really don't see how that would help. If I set up vntsd on the IO domain to listen on an IP address then it makes no real difference to the vntsd running on that IO domain - telnet 0 , telnet localhost and telnet hostname all go to the same place (if hostname references the vntsd on localhost).
If you are suggesting that I set up vntsd on the control domain to listen to an IP address then you've missed the point. I have a T3-4 with two IO domains (control domain and an independent IO domain) - guests continue to run if the control domain goes down because disks and networks are virtualised through the IO domain. However I cannot get to the guest console because the control domain is down. Given that the vntsd software is installed on the IO domain (as part of SUNWldmu) I should be able to use that - except it does not seem to be working. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ ldoms-discuss mailing list ldoms-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss
