I have the same request. I'd also rather pay something like $100 up front instead of $10/month.

I may have mentioned this sometime before, but wouldn't this be something worth while for an LDSOSS community project? Thoughts?

Subject: [Ldsoss] Content filtering proxy

Hi folks,

In following recent prophetic counsel, I'm looking for a web-filtering solution I can use in my home. It needs to be usable by both Windows and Linux machines, so some software to install wont work. I'm looking for more of a proxy solution, something I could simply point browser proxy settings to.

I'm aware of DansGuardian, but I would prefer a pre-populated proxy database, something like what's used at BYU, or like what's provided by N2H2.

I'm completely aware that no solution is perfect, and some are over-zealous. My main desire is to follow the counsel of the brethren, and at least have _something_ in place.

Thanks for any pointers,

-- Dan
