On Mandriva 2005 the fortunes go in /usr/share/games/fortunes, not
/usr/share/fortune. A simple edit of the makefile is needed and then
make install works fine.

I wonder what most distros use? I wish there was some way to know. Ah
well. I'll make some RPMs once I figure out what the other ones use and
that should help.
