We've pushed updates for both ical and vcal tonight. I think
there are still some issues to work out with the vcal version,
but I am hopeful ical is pretty close to where it needs to
be. For the vcal export we need to figure out how to treat an
event that doesn't have an end time. The spec allows us not to
include a DTEND, but when that happens it appears the mac ical
client pushes the event across two days. For those that have a
start date and time and not an end date the client might assume
a 24 hour duration which would push it into the next day for
anything that starts after midnight. I didn't see this behavior
in outlook. Currently we have the vcal export set up to leave
the DTEND as it exists in the database (11:29 pm) and then sets
transparent to 1 so that it doesn't block all of the time as
busy. I'd like to get this back to something sane.

The second problem with vcal is getting the proper escaping in
the text body of the description - particularly in church-wide
events that have all sorts of garbage in there. The details
should be in rfc 1521 if someone wants to take a crack at
figuring out what the vcal export *should* look like and letting
me know what I should change.

Thanks for everyone's feedback - keep it coming.
