All, I work for the Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho for the Communications and Cyber Security Resources Group. Our group is actively seeking to hire several people with backgrounds in CS, EE, Math, or other engineering fields.
Our tasks are very diverse in the area of computer security and scientific computing. Many of the positions entail performing "red team" assessments of National Critical Infrastructure networks. We identify vulnerabilities on essential systems and develop countermeasures. Our taskings include both government and industry customers. I, personally, have done a lot of work with cellular telephones, so the work can take you in many very cool directions. Some of my co-workers have worked with UAVs and we even run our own Wireless Testbed. Here is an overview of our departments activities (http://www.inl.gov/nationalsecurity/homelandsecurity/?num=3). As part of these positions, you must be able to obtain a Q (Top Secret) security clearance. So, if you would like to live in SE Idaho or if the work sounds interesting, please check us out on the web at (http://www.inl.gov/) or feel free to contact me at work at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks, Steve ---------------------------------------------- "Chance favours the prepared mind." -- Louis Pasteur ---------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Ldsoss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ldsoss.org/mailman/listinfo/ldsoss
