There seems to be a perennial interest in writing genealogy software (and considering how important Joseph Smith said family history was, that's quite understandable :)), and since I couldn't find any mailing lists discussing the future of genealogy software, both on the desktop and (perhaps more importantly) on the web, I've created one:
http://groups.google.com/group/beyondgen I see it mainly as a place to talk about things like innovation, genealogy data models, user interfaces, interoperability, new software and sites, and so on. All platforms -- Mac, Linux, Windows, and the rest -- are welcome. And though on this list most people will be coming from an open source perspective :), commercial developers are welcome as well. If you have friends interested in genealogy software development, spread the word. Or at least the URL. :) Ben -- Ben Crowder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> My ClaimID: http://claimid.com/crowderb Website: http://www.benjamincrowder.com/ Blog: http://www.topofthemountains.net/ LibraryThing: http://www.librarything.com/profile/crowderb _______________________________________________ Ldsoss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ldsoss.org/mailman/listinfo/ldsoss
