The new Boy Scout patch may serve Hollywood, but it also serves to educate in an effort to teach Scouts about the current law. the law is...

The point is, whether or not the merit badge educates scouts properly about the nuances of the law, and fairly presents the position of both sides, is seriously in doubt and up for debate right now, given that the recording industry is the one providing the materials. The merit badge, as published, may actually do more harm than good, by presenting only one side of the issue and distorting the claims of the other side.
