I had an idea this morning, but I'm not really smart enought to do it. If no one is interesteed, I might get around to it eventually, but if anyone wants to make an app like this- it'd be way cool!
There is an app for Facebook that lets you choose the countires in the world that you have been to, and place a map on your profile showing where you've been and where you want to go. I was thinking of a similiar app for LDS temples. You could display on the map a world map, showing the location of each temple open, under construction, and announced, then, athe user could select which temples they have been to/attended. You could even mash it with Google Earth, so that you can click on a temple and be taken to its location on Google Earth/ Maps... So, those of you that are smarter than me with PHP, if you want to, have at it. Let me know if I can help. -James Lee Vann
