So far it looks like the majority wouldn't have any trouble moving it over to Google Groups. I'm going to give it 2 more days, and if I don't hear any outright objection (besides just one or two people), I'm going to move it over. I use both in various places, and have not had any troubles with either over the last 5-10 years or so.
