As of the moment (8:20 AM PST Friday December 1), I can connect to the LEAF
home page (http://leaf.sourceforge.net/) but not to the starting point for
downloads (the URL that the header on this page points to). That is a
different host (IP address), and while it IS pingable from here, I cannot
connect to port 80 with either Netscape (Win95) or Lynx (Debian Potato).
Just to be clear: the problem is specific to sourceforge.net ( =
www.sourceforge.net), which resolves to 216.104.232.234 . Both
lists.sourceforge.net (198.186.203.35) and leaf.sourceforge.net
(198.186.203.44) reply just fine. The addresses that work are at AboveNet,
while the non-working one is at Exodus, suggesting that the transfer they
described in their e-mail isn't going quite as smoothly as anticipated. So
it goes.
I'll try again later.
